Secondhand Books is a free online service which caters exclusively to Singapore and its residents. You can use it to buy, sell or swap your OWN books live online.
Not so quickly... I created this website because of my love of books. After years of collecting books both overseas and in Singapore, I managed to build a substantial collection. The plan for my website was derived when I decided to sell some of my books, and after a long survey of the Internet, could not find a suitable website which catered to my needs. Most of the services required us to pay a fee to sell our books. After months of searching for the perfect website for selling second hand books, I decided to take the matter into my own hands, hence the creation of this site.
Secondhand Books was also built to promote literacy but an important side issue is the raising of awareness for our environment. When used books are sold and re-circulated we reduce wastage and its impact on the environment.
If you have finished with a book, let someone else enjoy it.
I believe that most secondhand books still have value. If you are not planning to read them again, our website will help you find your books a new home.

FAQ's;
1 - Q: How will I be notified when someone buys one of my items? A: We will send a notification email to your registration email address, also you will receive an internal message via the website.

3 - Q: Why are some of my uploaded images not clear (blurry)? A: Product images should be AT LEAST 300 pixels wide, if they are less (thinner) the image will be stretched and look distored. Images wider than 300 pixels will be shrunk, this is good as the image will remain clear and display as intended.
4 - Q: Why is my shop logo not clear, blurry or generally displaying incorrectly? A: Shop Logo's are scaled then chopped/cropped to 700 pixels (width) x 100 pixels (height). For best results make your logo 700x100 pixels and we will not scale/chop or crop it. If you still require help we can produce/modify one for you.
5 - Q: I have lots of second hand books, will you buy them directly from me? A: No. I only buy books that are listed on my website. If you want to sell your books please join up and list them on the website, it is FREE.
6 - Q: I have lots of second hand books to donate, how do I donate them?. A: Please advertise the books you want to donate in the "Donated Books" section on the site.
7 - Q: I'm having problems setting up my shopname, I can't see the green text as per the guides, i'm getting blank pages only? A: Chances are you are using an old internet browser (currently Internet Explorer 7 is not supported by us and may cause these problems). There are a number of simple fixes; upgrade your browser to internet explorer 8 or above, also you can download and install; firefox, google chrome or safari, all of which will work.
8 - Q: What is the "Notes" section all about?. A: I use it to write about my experiences with this website or whatever.... Feel free to make comments.
